When do scheduled exports expire and how can I extend them?

When a scheduled export is set up, it will have an end date set exactly one year later. We use the expiration date to reduce the number of unnecessary scheduled exports that are no longer in use. This end date cannot be changed, and exports cannot be configured without an end date.

Scope

An expiration date is applied to the scheduled exports for the following products:

  • Data Flow

  • Dashboard exports

  • Data Query scheduled exports

How can I extend the end date of my scheduled export?

One month prior to the end date, a calendar icon appears on the scheduled export (in the Scheduled Exports interface, next to the export line). By clicking it, you can extend the scheduled export expiration date for an additional year.

If you do not extend your export, once the date has expired the export will be deleted and it will have to be rescheduled.

Will I be reminded my scheduled export is about to expire?

Once the expiration date nears, we send 3 reminder emails to the configured email address:

  • 1 month before the expiration date

  • 1 week before the expiration date

  • 1 day before the expiration date

Make sure the email account associated with your scheduled export is actively monitored so you can renew in time and avoid interruptions.

Example timeline

I set up my scheduled export on 13/07/2022. My export will expire on 13/07/2023.

  • 13/06/2023: I’ll receive a reminder of the expiration date by email (1 month). From this date I’ll have the possibility to extend the validity date of my export for 1 year.

  • 06/07/2023: I’ll receive a reminder of the expiration date by email (1 week).

  • 12/07/2023: I’ll receive a reminder of the expiration date by email (1 day).

  • 13/07/2023: If I didn’t extend the validity date of my export, it will be deleted and I will have to reschedule it if I want to use it again.
