Data Flow's delivery system includes automatic retries. If your SFTP or S3 server is temporarily unavailable when an export is scheduled, the system will keep retrying at increasing intervals over a period of approximately two days.
This means that short downtimes typically don't require any action on your part — most planned maintenance windows on the client side are covered by the automatic retry behavior.
If your server is down for longer than the retry window, two options are available:
-
Manual re-trigger — Within 15 days of the original delivery date, the file is still stored, and the Support Team can manually re-trigger the export delivery for you.
-
Data regeneration — Beyond the 15-day window, the data is no longer available and needs to be regenerated. Regeneration is a chargeable option when the issue originates on the client side (e.g., extended maintenance, server downtime).
