What is the maximum number of events in a visit?

In Piano Analytics, a visit can contain up to 250,000 events.

How the limit is applied

Piano Analytics stores only the first 250,000 events processed for a visitor during a day. Any events collected beyond this threshold for that visitor on that day are excluded in real time.

At D+1, the visit will be visible in the interface with a maximum of 250,000 events.

Piano will retain the visitor ID that generated this traffic in memory for 30 days in order to exclude, during that timeframe, all future traffic generated by that visitor.

Legacy custom thresholds

A custom events threshold for visits could be set up in legacy versions of Piano Analytics. If such configuration exists and the threshold is exceeded, then the whole visit will be excluded.
