What are the impacts of a domain change?

The tagging of a site is not dependent on the domain on which the site is located. So if you're simply migrating from one domain to another and don't want to change your tagging plan or your level 1 site, you can change the domain without making any changes to the tagging.

There is, however, one point to bear in mind: the domain in which cookies are deposited. If you were using first-party cookies and forcing them to be deposited on the waye.fr domain, you will need to modify this configuration by redeploying the file containing your _pac.cookieDomain method. In the case of third-party cookies, there is no action to be taken on the marking side.

In all cases, we also invite you to go to the Data Collection Portal in order to modify the main URL of the site, or the list of additional URLs:

Note that this information affects the detection of the "Portal sites" and "Direct access (continuation of visit)" traffic sources. It is therefore advisable to update them.

French customers: please note that for sites with ACPM certification, it will be necessary to update the DSH linked to these perimeters with the correct domains.
