Will my Data Management rules be retroactive?

Data Management rules are not retroactive. Any rule you create or modify will only apply to data processed after the rule is deployed, and will not change data that was processed before the update.

When do new or updated rules take effect?

After deployment, Data Management rules are taken into account with a delay of up to 20 minutes (maximum).

This behavior applies in particular to rules configured in the Data Management Processing section (for example, rules affecting custom properties).

Can I apply Data Management rules to historical data?

Yes—historical data can be updated, but only through a data reprocessing/regeneration operation that effectively backdates the Data Management rules.

This operation is subject to review by our technical team and billing. Please contact our support team to request an estimation and confirm feasibility for your dataset and time range.
