As an admin, why can't I delete a specific user account?

If the Delete button for a user account is greyed out/disabled, it is typically because the user is assigned as a Delegate in one or more Delegations. Delegate accounts cannot be deleted while they still have an active delegate role.

How to enable deletion for a delegate user

To delete the user, you must first remove them from all delegations where they are a delegate:

  1. In the Access Management, select the relevant Delegation as a perimeter.

  2. Go to Delegates management.

  3. Locate the user in the delegates list.

  4. Click the cross (×) at the end of the user’s line to remove them as a delegate.

  5. Repeat for any other delegations where the user is listed as a delegate.

Once the user is no longer a delegate in any delegation, return to the user’s profile—the Delete button should now be enabled, and you can delete the account.

Troubleshooting

  • Delete is still disabled after removing the delegate: Confirm the user was removed from every delegation (a user can be a delegate in multiple delegations). The delete option will remain disabled until all delegate assignments are removed.
