How do I set up a CDDC Piano-managed certificate migration?

Piano-managed SSL certificates allow you to configure CNAME redirections directly from the Piano interface, while Piano handles certificate generation and automatic renewal. This replaces the older approach of managing custom TLS certificates manually, removing the operational burden of third-party certificate renewals. In addition, 10 free domains are included when using Piano-managed certificates.

Steps to follow

1. Validate your DNS redirection. In the Custom Domain panel, ensure your CNAME DNS redirection is detected as valid. The migration option will only appear once this validation passes.

2. Start the migration. Click the migration button in the Custom Domain panel to switch from custom TLS to a Piano-managed certificate. The SSL certificates are created automatically once the DNS redirection is confirmed.

3. Wait for activation. Certificate creation typically takes around 2 minutes, though it can take up to an hour in some cases.

4. Confirm via email. An email notification is sent to the CNAME distribution list when the migration begins.
